2. THE VISION AND THE VOICE: 156 pgs., est. 360 minutes or 6 meetings. The Equinox Volume IV Number 2. Liber 418 (as it is technically named) is a book by Aleister Crowley written in the style of a magical diary. 3. TUBA VENERIS: 189 pgs., est. 380 minutes or 7 meetings. The Trumpet of Venus, also called The Little Black Book of Venus by Dr. John Dee. Written sometime before his magical workings as recorded in his Mysteriorum Libri (The Five Books of Mystery), which are the source of what is known to be Enochian Magic. 4. THE CONFESSIONS OF ALEISTER CROWLEY: 923 pgs, est. 2,160 minutes or 36 meetings. Referred to by the author as An Autohagiography, which is the biography written on the life of a Saint. A very voluminous and extensive book on the life, work, philosophy and exploits of the legendary and great Aleister Crowley. The book is full of unabashed honesty, wit, poetic retelling of events, as well as a myriad of examples of one life full of the union of opposites. 5. TRANSCENDENTAL MAGIC: 454 pgs., est. 1,080 minutes or 18 meetings. By Eliphas Levi (1810-1875). Born Alphonse Louis Constant, he was a sage, poet, and author of over twenty esoteric books. He began writing at 22 years of age and was imprisoned twice for the critical nature of his work. He is remembered in O.T.O. as a Saint and he had a deep impact on the magic of the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn, as well as Aleister Crowley. 6. THE LAW IS FOR ALL: 302 pgs., est. 720 minutes or 12 meetings. A collection of Aleister Crowley’s commentary on The Book of the Law, the central sacred text of Thelema. It was edited to be a primer of sorts into Crowley’s general interpretations about the text of Liber Legis. He found that The Book of the Law holds the keys to the Next Step in human evolution, and sets forth the spiritual principles of the New Aeon. 7. AHA: 80 pgs, est. 230 minutes or 4 meetings. Aleister Crowley considered AHA! To be his greatest magical poem. This profoundly esoteric work highlights the two central experiences of the Path of the Wise: The Knowledge and Conversation of the Holy Guardian Angel and the Crossing of the Abyss. It also marks Crowley’s final acceptance of the mysteries of The Book of the Law, and offers his overview of Initiation and the techniques by which Spiritual Enlightenment may be achieved. The text is prefaced with this: “The Sevenfold Mystery of the Ineffable Love; …Wherein under the form of a discourse between Marsyas an Adept and Olympas his Pupil, the whole secret of the way of Initiation is laid open from the beginning to the end; for the instruction of the little children of the light.
