Instructions: For the first three sessions: Read a chapter then study one or more random verses.
For subsequent sessions, skip the reading and jump right to the study of one or more random verses.
To randomly select the verse, draw a random Tarot card and follow the correspondence.
For that verse, read the old and new comments, the magical philosophical commentaries, and the Djeridensis comment. Then discuss.
Methods of selecting a verse:
1) After a chapter has been decided do the following: Use the number assigned to the order of the card in Liber Theta (link below) pages 4-7 “TITLES OF THE SYMBOLS” to determine which verse is to be studied. If on chapter 2, please include an additional card, such one of the extra magus cards, or the card which introduces the deck. This will represent verse 79. If you select a tarot which has a number greater than the number of verses, ignore and select again.
2) To randomly select a chapter, go by the suit of the Tarot as per the three alchemical elements. If you get the fourth element, ignore and select again. You will have to decide which elements go with which chapter.
3) Alternate Method 1: Select one court card, one pip card, and one trump card (major arcana or ATU). Let the court card decide the chapter. The Trump Card decide by even/odd the first 40 verses or the second 40 versus. The Pip card which of the 40 verses by YHVH order.
4) Alternate Method 2: Select a Tarot. Let the element indicate the chapter. Let the planet indicate which set of 10 versus. Let the number indicate the verse.

The Book of the Sacred Magic of Abra-melin the Mage (Included as a ‘suggested read’ by Crowley in the supplementary instructions of Asana from Liber ‘E’)
The Sacred Magic of Abramelin the Mage is the story of the Egyptian mage Abramelin, or Abra-Melin, who taught a system of magic to Abraham of Worms, a German Jew presumed to have lived from c.1362 – c.1458. The Book of the Sacred Magic of Abramelin the Mage and its ideas have been incorporated within the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn, and later within the mystical system of Thelema (created in 1904 by Aleister Crowley).
