Updated September 8th, 2022
Indoor vs Outdoor
- All Thelema RVA Events during the pandemic have been Outdoor Events. There are not currently any Indoor Events.
Changing Nature of a Pandemic
- As the pandemic continues to evolve, this page may become out-of date. Therefore, refer to the individual event COVID restrictions, check back for updates on this page, check also for updates to the OTO COVID Policy including the FAQ.
- All In-Person Events will follow the OTO Outdoor COVID Policy, Fully-Vaccinated Events Protocol, Outdoor Minerval Policy where applicable, as well as the latest COVID Policy. When these policies are in conflict, the latest COVID Policy supersedes, and clarification from the COVID Response Team may be necessary.
PODs
- All Thelema RVA In-Person Events will be limited attendance, pre-registration on the Website for public events or on the Discord Server for private events.
FVP/LCCT
- All In-Person Events have been FVP-Only.
- The Annual Calendar Plan takes into account high and low COVID Case Times. The group is intentionally dark during the winter spike between Thanksgiving and Valentines Day, waiting until March when cases are typically low to host its first in-person event, cautious around the back-to-school Autumn spike, optimistic around the Halloween lull.
Vaccination Status
- For FVP-Only events, the attendee must bring a photo drivers license and their vaccine card for visual inspection by the event facilitator.
- This is not a HIPAA violation as “Businesses, employers, churches, and other organizations are allowed to verify if a customer has been vaccinated under HIPAA rules.. “. “HIPAA’s rules apply only to sharing information between certain entities, which only include health care providers, health plans and health care clearing houses, according to legal experts.”
IFU
- Individual Family Units (people who reside at the same residence) can do all activities together (ride in the same car, sit at the same table, and similar).
Prophylactics
- For certain events you may be asked to attest to your COVID-Prevention daily habits in advance of acceptance of your pre-registration.
Spaces
- If the event requires social distancing, the floor of the space can be marked to ensure the minimum social distancing requirement where appropriate. For concrete, this can be painters tape. On a grass lawn, this can mean that every individual will have their own tent which is adequately spaced from others tents. A 72″ wooden dowel can be used to assist in the measurements.
- As of September 8th, 2022, we have had much success with the painter’s tape and are planning on an event using the tents.
